I think more often than not you'll find a slight groove wore into the changer finger where the string wraps around it.
I used an emery (sp?) board that my wife uses on her nails to carefully slightly take down the finger and eliminate the groove. Just work on the whole radius so you don't cause a flat spot.
You could then bring the finger's luster back using a polish, I'm not sure of the name but I'll bet someone will chime in with it.
This took care of my string buzz recently, however my advice is worth exactly what you paid for it!
If this isn't the problem, perhaps it's something unique to the gearless system?...some else will be along soon...me hopes... |

Dashawn, Press down on the string about an inch in front of the finger, you will have to press pretty hard, if the buzz stops then you may have slight groove on the top of the finger.... |

Sring buzz can be as easy as a drop of thin oil at the roller wheel on string 2 and 3 just a drop will make it go away

Check the nut too. I've seen different guitars that had a buzzing nut or keyhead (where applicable, not in this case obviously). |

When you put the string on, be sure that the end of the twist is on top or on the side, not on the bottom against the changer. This prevents the string from making proper contact on the changer causing possible string buzz, or at least a big hicky on the changer. Just my experiences. _________________ Keep pickin', Larry |
