For sale: eight string Magnatone lap steel. Early Troubadour model, probably late '40's/early'50's model.
Solid maple body, big single coil pickup, Lucite fretboard, knobs, and tuning buttons.
This guitar sounds great: nice bright tone, good string separation, and a crisp fat bottom end on the low strings. There is some finish wear, and someone has scratched some initials in the finish (see photo). The nut is a little bit loose when the string are off, but it is solid and stable under string tension. A few extra screw holes in the bottom. New strings tuned to E7. No case, but I will include a gig bag.
I was asking $400, but I am open to offers.....best offer, please?

Thank you,
Cliff

Nice. I've got one a lot like that. I think Mike Neer was after one of these.

Hey Cliff, I'm kind of interested in owning an 8-string lap, might have some gizmos to trade you for it. Ring me up and we'll chat!

Hi John,
thanks for the offer, but I need to sell this for cash. Still available.
How about $400?

Thanks,
Cliff
