Sho-Bud serial numbers are pretty much worthless for dating an instrument. Pics are way more helpful. |

Tim, if you could list the attributes of the guitar, for example, what style of pedals, straight or curved knee levers, rounded front or square front cabinet, gumby headstock or not, hex or round cross shafts, nylon tuners or metal, how many raise/lowers etc... would help a lot when it comes to identifying your Sho~Bud. As Skip said, when it comes to Sho~Bud's, the serial numbers are pretty much worthless in identifying the year model.
With an accurate description and/or good photo's, there are some here on the forum who can get you very close to the year of manufacture. |

I think they were just stamped with whatever number punches were out on the bench. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see duplicate numbers. Pics be de best way to identify it. |

It has narrow pedals, triple raise, double lower, square apron, the key head DOES NOT have the little Sho Bud swirley at the top; it is very symetrical. The key head looks newer; more modern (if that makes any sense for a 30 year old guitar). Nylon tuners and straight, polished KL's.
Thanks! ![Cool](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |

Late 70s to 80s. One more question: Are the hearts and diamonds on the fretboard red or white? |
