I have a Sho-Bud Dobro made in the early '70s by Shot Jackson. It is not a Sho-Bro, but is a 6 string made by Shot. I believe only about 7 of these (Sho-Buds) were made by special order. It has maple back and sides, arched back, spruce top, square nack. It is stained a lovely dark red. The fretboard is ebony and the fretmarkers (clubs, spades, hearts, diamonds) are in pearl. The body is bound in pearl. The headstock has SHO-BUD inlayed in pearl. It was made for a country singers relative, who never picked it up and Shot sold it to me. I am not much of a player and have only played hymns on it, about 10 times a year. I have kept it like the treasure it is and would consider it to be in mint minus condition. All original. Original case.
This one has a hand made feel and is far superior to the Sho-bros in looks and sound. $1650
