Reece, in another thread, the question came up about the differences other than the wood and finish, between the dieboard/mica and maple/lacquer MSA "classics" of the 70s.

As far as I can tell, aside from the materials used, the differences are that the MSA and Classic logos and the fretboard are external pieces attached to the front apron and neck, respectively, and the aluminum surrounding the pickup well only extends to the edge of the well on the mica guitar and surrounds it on the maple one.

Are there any other differences in the construction of the 2 guitars?
