Since there's more on this song I thought that I would comment on Bobbe's CD, "Masters Collection" and the Tab Book. IMO, this is one of the best renditions of this song on this CD; it's been a while since I played it, (think it is in the key of "D"). I never get tired of listening to it even today. I would recommend this (any of Bobbes stuff really) CD and the Tab book if Bobbe still has it. I found it on my own in the key of "F", but listen to the chords on this CD in this key. I learned a lot from his tab. IMO it sounds better in this key. |

Listen to Conway Twitty's version. John Hughey did a beautiful intro and turn around. The middle ain't bad either. I'd like to hear Bobbe's version. |

I have a cassette tape that I bought from vocalist Rob Parker. It's the one that he did about 12 songs and had a different well known steel player playing on each song. Stu Basore did the cut on I just Destroyed the World and knocked it out of the park when he did the turnaround. The cassette was worth the money just to listen to this masterful turnaround. Rob is on the forum from time to time, so if you would like to get this cassette (maybe it is also available in a CD) do a search for Rob Parker or Scotty might have it. I also have the Buddy Emmons instrumental tab and record couse that was put out by Emmons Guitars many years ago that has it on it. Typical Emmons playing and not difficult. If you want to play some great classic country songs instrumentally, this is a great course if they are still available. |
