I would like to express my gratitude to the JaxJam sponsors for the great pleasure to have been part of your show. Thank you so very much for the invitation and the priviledge to appear on your stage with all those wonderful musicians. That was a real treat.
Special thanks to : Bob and Gen Taylor; Glenn and Carole Portwood; Pam and Larry Tatterton;Lonnie and Johnnie Portwood;Keith Portwood;Penny and Tommy Ackerman;Chuck and Kathy Haynie;Bill and Ann Lawson;Larry Mangum;Nathaniel and Erin Woldord;brian and Cissy Beasley; and Freddie Carr. These are the ones I remember who sponsored this great show and your hard work was greatly appreciated.
The back up band should not ever be called a "back-up" band. They are all wonderful and very accomplished musicians in their own right. To hear John Lemaster play steel is a treat for all-not to mentioned the hours he spent on stage playing bass for all of us.
Glenn Portwood did another superb job on bass and stage managing. Everything went very smooth in all the transitions involved in a show of this type. Randy Lovell and Bob Taylor traded off on the drums and not a beat was missed. Lonnie's guitar was either "Chet Atkins" or "Merle travis" when the style dictates and the the style of Lonnie Portwood shown through all the time.
No words can ever describe the talents of Roy Rosetta and his efforts were flawless as usual-that Energizer rabbit has nothing on Roy. So, I send my thanks to all involved in making this a great show.
Good news is that they will do it again next year and the next, etc. So folks, plan this show as one of your stops for the coming year. Lots of things to see and do for the family there in Jacksonville so bring them along.
Thanks again guys for giving me this special honor to be a part of your show.
Best of luck in the future in all you do.
