Encore. Hawaiian Wedding Song MP3 8 String Leavitt

I was looking through my old posts the other day and saw that a couple of years ago I put this tune on the SWP section. At that time I did not have a file hosting site and Roy was kind enough to host it. I saw that maybe 50 folks had read the post. Now when we put a song on, there are hundreds of people that read the post and hundreds listen to the MP3 tunes that are put on, for which I am so grateful.

Anyway, this was probably only heard by a handful of folks and I would like to put this back on in case any of the new SWP forumites might be interested. The song is the ageless Hawaiian Wedding Song. The first part is done with just solo 8 string lap in an improv style and then I played some bass and nylon guitar to support the more single line melody.

There is a little bar "shake" vibrato/chorus effect in the first section and the chords and counter lines are a testiment to the musical potential in the Leavitt tuning.

That's a beauty Bill. The improv beginning really shows off the chord possibilities and your use of fretted notes plus open strings are so in tune they're really wonderful. I'm going to have to get hold of an 8 or 10 string steel and start experimenting.
