I put together this sample recording to show a practical use of the E9th 3rd pedal and 2nd and 9th string lowers (1/2 tone). I took a song we all know, The Wild Side Of Life and applied these ideas, some of which I posted earlier. The part with the second string lower at the 1st fret also takes advantage of the open 2nd string with the 2nd string lowered a half tone.

I'm willing to tab these out if anyone wants to see the exact changes.

Aw man, that is so cool! I haven't really exploited that C pedal at all and now I'm really going to dig in there with it. Thank you so much. Between YouTube and guys like Greg sharing goodies like this, who needs a teacher? Thanks Greg.

Thanks for the reply Jim. I've learned an awful lot from YouTube on both pedal steel and fiddle.
