Hi all . Sorry we had to cancel the last jam but we don't control '' Mother Nature '' . The next jam is scheduled for Oct.11 th. and Dec.6th . The times are 12:00 to 5:00 pm. for both dates . The Dec. jam will be our Christmas jam so maybe the ladies can come up with something special for this date . My wife has a family reunion on Oct.11th so she wont be there . Maybe some of the other ladies can step in and have ideas for the food ( please ) . As always we have some great players that make the jams a success . We have a great time of fun and sharing at the jams . As always we play all styles of music from Gospel ,Country and Jazz . The venue is non-smoking and non-alcohol ,so bring the whole family .This is open for the public also so tell all your friends and neighbors .Hope to see you there .There is a $5.00 admission at the door ,this helps us pay for the building. My cell # is (614) 774-3109 . The address for the jam is------------------------------------------------------

Well Gary, I hope it isn't just you and I, but if it is, we're gonna have a great steel learning session. Can I, maybe touch your new La grande. I'll let you look at my Marlen. Even play it if you can get your legs under it. Its been chopped and lowered.
See ya,

Well, I'm out of this one too. Hate to miss it, but it conflicts with something we've had planned for a while (...why always October?).
Joe, I haven't seen you at a jam in a long time (I'm the GFI guy). Do you think you might make the December one too?

Jeff
I remember that Nice GFI you have. I was hoping to see you this jam. I will try to be back in December.
My buddy Tim from Akron recently bought a GFI and is in the process of trying to get a leg extension kit for it. He is coming this trip too.
I am hoping that one day my playing will be worthy of an upgrade to a current technology guitar. Until then I will have to use my Sho-bud.
Hope to see you in December!

Hi all . Well we had another great jam . The players were Dick Sexton , Sonny Curtis , Leland Darst ,Joe Kurtz , Bob Allen , Kenny Krupneck ,Gary Phillips , Gary Steele , Bob Blair and Mike Wilson . These guys played steel . On Piano was Victor Wolfe , Kay Ray , Drums Eddie Mason ,Marvin Born on guitar, And yours truly on Bass . Yes i left my steel at home and played bass for the jam and they worked me over ! Gary Phillips also played lead guitar for us when he wasn't playing steel and did a great job . He also gave me a short rest by playing bass . Denny Mosley did the M.C. and vocals .Mike Wilson did a fine job on vocals also . Thanks to all for making this another successful jam . We are already planning for the December 6th jam . This will be our Christmas jam . I'm sure the gals will have something special for this event .Again thanks and best wishes . G.P. P.S. we may have two special guest steel players for the next jam . Keep watching for the post . ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

WOW, just want to say what a great jam. Great to see some old friends and meet some new players also. Would really like to say thanks again to Kenny Krupnick for letting me use his Zum for my set and to Joe Kurtz for letting me sit at his Pro 2, since I was unable to bring my equipment. I still had a great time. If you haven't been to one of OSGA jams, you don't know what you're missing. |

Chris, We do one per month usually. Last month there were a loy of electric power outages in the area, and a lot of folks had other things they needed to take care of,so we had to cancel the jam. Hope to see you sometime. Come up,and be with us.Be glad to have you. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

ok thanks kenny. i would love to come and pick at one of the shows...
who do i need to talk to about getting on one of the shows?
Ive had some great opportunities lately by getting to play at chubbys show and the LMSGC hall of fame show... I am just so thankful and happy i can be doing this at my young age of 16.
I know im only 16, but i live , breath, eat, drink, and sleep music... and i absolutely love to play the steel to those good ol crying songs.
I think everyone has liked my picking so far.
i just play because i love to. i dont try to show off or say that im better than anyone. i just play and i love what im doing... thats all that matters. the good lord has blessed me with talent and i am so thankful.

I really appreciated being able to attend and play at the jam. That was the first time I have been able to play in about a year and a half due to foot trouble. I hope to be more improved by the next jam.
