I have a program on my Mac which I'm tying to delete - I think it's Windows Media Player. I can put it in the trash, but when I try to empty the trash, it tells me that it contains parts that are 'locked' and so can't be deleted. So I pull it out of the trash and try to get into it to unlock those parts. But because it says it's corrupted or incomplete I can't open it! I had a similar problem in the past and somehow got in, unlocked each part one by one, and could then delete them - but I can't remember how I did it...? Thanks for any help...

I assume you're using OS X in which case you can try any one of these:

1. Use "Secure Empty Trash" from the Finder menu.

2. Trash the file, restart the mac and then empty the trash.

3. If neither of those work try looking for a fix here:

Thanks, Sean. I'll give those a try. This forum is great!
