I don't want to renew the Mac. vs. PC war - we all have good reasons for our preferences. But I did find this article in PC Magazine an interesting read. |

Very true. The hardware on Macs and PCs are 90% the same. The motherboards are different and that's the main thing.
And that Mac/PC thing...hmm? What am I? I run Linux on a former Windows box.
Macs vs PCs give me something to smile about. |

The only information I would add is that PC magazine has historically been seen as hostile to Apple and now only because Apple's marketshare has grown so dramatically they are kind of trying to 'rewrite' their stance and pretend that they have been 'fair and balanced' all along.
In the mac community, it is common knowledge that this is NOT the case with this periodical and essentially the writer is just creating cover to 'recreate' the perception of the magazine as it relates to things made by Apple.
That is kind of 'the rest of the story' that you might miss if you didn't know the history. |
