Yes I am using one for my home recordings.
For pedal steel I use a patch created by Jack Stoner.
Its the roland jazz amp model, bass set to full , volume set to full, gain set to zero, treble turned way down, a little spring reverb.
I've found the ux2 to be a good value and yeild some good tones for clean to mildly crunchy guitars. Its an interface, has its own soundcard so no latency, and has amp models, phantom power, vocal and bass models too...so pretty versatile and functional. where it fails IMHO is on the really high gain amp models, but Ive found if i stick a stompbox in front of it and just use an amp model with the gain turned down, I can get a good high gain tone that way. also only two inputs at a time if thats a concern. |

I had one and it broke after about 30 seconds of using it. I tried to get help from Line 6 and of course got nothing. I returned it and haven't replaced it. |

Line 6 support for this product isnt good thats for sure. This thing was NOT easy to setup and get running properly either. Had to troubleshoot mine and go buy a powered usb hub before i could get it to work (It was blasting bursts of white noise till then). As usual the civilians on products forum was more helpful than the products tech support teams.
Once running tho, it has been a great and stable little device for my purposes.
What was the issue with your Darren? |
