The concert that Kathy Barwick and I did for the Loud and Clear Exhibition at the Crocker Art Museum, in Sacramento, California, was such a success that they've asked us back. This time there won't be the reso exhibit going on, but for this gig, we're bringing reinforcements: Jim Beeler on Guitar and Steve Pottier on Bass, along with me and Kathy on various lap-style resophonic instruments.
The concert is free with admission to the Crocker Art Museum, which in most cases is $4.50. I'll be bringing my Zephyr 10-string (article on my website), 1927 National #1 Tricone, 1976 Model 27 Dobro, and Randy Allen will be letting me use his newest reso (Yay!) and we'll be setting it up with strings for D tuning, my tuning of choice (for bluegrass and all).
Should be good fun. It's Thursday nite July 27th. The Crocker is open all day, and the music event starts at 6:30 pm and goes to 8:30. Hope to see some or many of you there.
