My S. Number is boogered up on the sticker in the back of my Vibrosonic.
Is the number stamped in the metal the same.
It is B-01526

Thanks

Ken - Normally serial numbers are only stamped into the chassis; very rarely is there a sticker, and when I have seen them they were not factory-applied, but printed so the number could be seen clearly in a picture for sale. Fender (even under CBS) rarely did anything redundantly the at cost even an extra few pennies. The sticker is probably an inspection tag, not a serial number.

Anyway, the amp chassis date is early 1975; Vibrosonics were not huge sellers (still, "not huge" for Fender was about 15,000 VS's that year!) so the year is probably pretty accurate.

Hope that helps -

Jim
