It is always a great honor and pleasure to be invited to play at the ISGC and I thank Scotty and family, the amazing house band, the excellent sound crew, and all the folks who work so hard to create this annual weekend of 'Steel Guitar Heaven'.

My thanks too to Jim and Barbara Stahlhut, who have created the 'Jazz Room', now in its third highly-successful year. So many folks have come up and told us how this was one of the highlights of the weekend for them. I know it was for me*!

It was a great weekend of steel guitar and camaraderie, making new friends, deepening old friendships and generally having as much fun as a steel player can have with his clothes on. Wink

Thank you once again to all who make this possible!

Jimbeaux

*By the way, a number of people have written asking me for the name of the acappella song I played in the Jazz Room. It was Billy Strayhorn's song, 'Lush Life'. I have a video of it posted over at www.SteelGuitarJazz.com

Jimbeaux,

It was great meeting you again and listening to your playing. I missed most of your set in the Jazz room, but your playing on the main stage was really great! Smile

Kind Regards, Walter

Hi Jim, I'm not surprised at your reception, because you are an above average player. At your initial appearance on the Dallas show a few years ago, I was privileged to assist you with getting your equipment on-stage.

You are a fine player and I appreciate your contribution to steel-guitar very much.

One of your fans......
Gene Jones

You forgot to mention that I also have 'acceptable' tone. LOL!

Seriously, thanks Gene. I appreciate it very much. (I think Oh Well )
