Regrettably a bit outside my wandering range but if I did come I would, indeed, bring my own banjo! Thanks for asking.

Well, I caught the Last Train Home last nite in Bryn Mawr, and they sounded terrific. Great original material, great singing, super drummer, and our own dva tearin' it up on the blue Zum. If you haven't heard Dave play, you oughta; he's one of the more original thinkers around on steel. (I saw the wheels churnin' all night, wonderin' where he was gonna slip in that Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa quote! By now, I think it's his trademark. Title of your next album, Dave?)

Sorry I couldn't stay to the bitter end, Dave, but I sure enjoyed listening!

Thanks for the kind words Jim... you know how I respect your playing (I hope!)

The Mona Lisa quote is a fave, and I knew EXACTLY which tune I wanted to use it on (My Baby Just Cares For Me)- I was just waitin' for Eric to call it... (I guess I tend to overuse quotes, but they fit so well in so many places but I try to limit myself to once per quote per night )) I used so many (different) quotes a couple weeks back that Eric introduced me to the audience at the Birchmere as playing "the Referential Steel Guitar"

the next dva ablum will prolly be called "Things Ain't What They Used to Be" ...that or "SteelGuitar Quote Party"

now if I can just figger out a place to fit that riff from Bowie's "Rebel Rebel"
