It didn't go off without a hitch, but all in all it was very successful.
We ended up in a side room at Hartland music because they had too many grand pianos in the way in the main showroom, but they lent us a PA and worked things out, so we were able to play. Will probably need to find a new venue for next time, but they have assured us the use of the main showroom and stage next time.
Now for the good news....we had 6 steel players show up and all played. Big fun was had by all, and thats what its all about. Some of the guys saw the announcements on the forum and showed up unannounced, so thanks to Bob and the forum.
I personally want to thank everybody involved. This has been my brainchild, so naturally I was a little nervous that it would fizzle out....but it didn't,yaeh!!
I hope to get even more players out next time. Oh and also thanks to Joe and Ray on drums and base.
I will keep things posted on the forum as to the next date and location. Shooting for early November.
