I'm working on this beautiful old girl here and it needs some new strings as well.
What would be the two most common tunings used on this baby.
The young lady that I'm fixin it up for (the owner) is 86 years young and still going strong, she just wants to do some pickin!!!
Thanks for your help in advance. _________________ Email: azpedalman@gmail.com

Fred, I play a triple-8 National. You'd definitely want either C6 or A6 on one neck. I'm partial to E13, which can cover an awful lot of musical territory, and have the third (top) neck on B11, which is great for chords and for Hawaiian. The E13 is easier to get the hang of -- very scalar. I'm sure you'll get loads of advice on this. |

Jim thank you sir, I think she has settled on the E-13th and the C-6th for the 2 necks, thanks again. _________________ Email: azpedalman@gmail.com

Fred years ago they started us with the double A tunning it is so much eaiser to learn, only 3 strings to remember you can play songs in the octive. Then we went to E major with the Oahu chorse, Nan took it for 2 years, 1 more than me.
