I have a red laquer JCH D-10 with 8 pedals and 7 knee levers for sale.
This guitar was built in the early 90s. The body was crafted by the great
John Hughey and the assembly work was masterfully done by Jimmie Crawford.
This beautiful work of art is a piece of steel guitar history that plays
great and has tone to spare. I would rate this guitar in above average condition,
there are a few bar dings and small scratches there is no detectable wear in the
mechanism it plays as well as my 2001 JCH. it has two new George Ls 10-1 pickups in it.
This is truly one of the most highly sought after steel guitars in the world the price is

i love jch's. when i got my zum, jch, emmons and zum were the steels on the cutting edge..sharing the same new innovations such as split tuning..no one else was doing it at first (early 80's).
i wouldn't mind having that jch for half the asking price! |

| I forgot to mention that this guitar has cross rods for two additional pedals for a total of 10 pedals and 7 knee levers, all you need are pedals and rods. |

| You know now that you mention it I did see some of those black helicopters flying over Jimmie's house quite a bit. I bet Bruce noticed it too along with the all black SUVs with guys driving wearing dark Ray Bans. I've heard the all black SUVs sound better than the others. |

| I don't know the weight on this guitar. It is quite heavy, probably 50-60 lbs. in the case. I'll check. But I would carry it mile for the tone and playability. |

it's really nice looking in a steel that i would want. pricey for me...but everything i might want is! |

| I have a JCH probably near this same age. These things are special. You can feel something (don't make fun of me) when you screw the legs into it. Some kind of resonance or something. At one time I had a newer S 10 that had helper springs on it. I don't see them on this one. The peddles and levers are a little stiffer than newer high end steels, but it is not that bothersome. It is fairly heavy, I think a magnet will stick to the cross shafts, bellcranks, and pull rods. Lots of adjustability underneath. These are great sounding and playing steels. My understanding is that there are about 100 to 150 of them and there will be no more. Jon Graboff has a site where he is trying to document all of them. |

| Danny, you are right just setting a JCH up you know there is someting special about them. The cast end plates, the attention to detail, the craftsmamship are all things that are obvious but there is something else a feel or a sense that lets you know they are different from most others. Not long before Jimmies death he told me that fewer than 160 JCH guitars had been built. I don't know how many of them were laquer finishes I am a huge JCH enthusist and I have only seen one other laquer body, which was one of the JCHs that Lloyd Green had built it was a drop dead beautiful laquer with a lot of custom inlay work. I would be curious to know of any other laquer JCHs. I have another JCH a black mica D-10 that I recieved new in 2001 or I would never even think about selling this one. |

I had a blue JCH with the same pickup selector buttons. It was one of the best sounding steels I ever owned. I think its in Finland now.

There is a JCH played at the florida club, he plays thru a 112, and it sounds like he is playing thru a walker $2,000.00 amp. I set mine up like his and it does not sound as good. They have the best tone.
