For sale: Evans SE150 amp in excellent/near mint condition. Custom features from Evans include western tooled leather vinyl/tolex, extra long power cable, headphone jack. Has spring reverb, a preamp out jack, effects loop, and typical Evans tone-shaping EQ. 15" speaker in a ported closed-back cabinet. This amp sounds great and is loud with an efficient cabinet design, and the amp is lightweight....I don't have a scale but I think it weighs around 35 lbs. Includes Evans cover. The amp is in excellent condition, no issues, no tears, stains, marks, or rust. The only issue that I can think of is that some of the stitching on the leather handle has come loose, but the handle seems fine and I wouldn't notice it if I didn't know about it. I am the second owner and the amp has never been out of southern California. $700 plus shipping. Local sales are fine, let me know if you want to check it out.

| Bump for a really great amp that is lighter than a Nashville 112 has a 15 inch speaker and has a headphone jack, custom tolex and an extra long power cord. |

Cliff, I'm tired of lugging around my session and this amp sure is pretty and compact.
Does it have good tone/bottom ??
At 150 watts is it loud enough to hear on stage (monitor) using a mic in front of it.
I'm stuck between this and the TC Furlong.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! Al, the amp looks great, and it sounds great, too.
Richard: I am not familiar with the TC amp to make a comparison. I have had an Evans FET500, and I also have a Session 400 and a Twin Reverb. I would say that this Evans has more low end than the Twin, that the lows are punchy and can be thick with EQ, but not as open and chunky in the lows as the Session 400 or the FET500. I think part of the tone from these amps is the cabinet: both the FET 500 and the Session 400 have wide open-back cabinets, whereas this Evans has a small closed-back cabinet. All of these amps use 15" speakers (my Twin has two 12"). For my use this amp is loud and has very good projection when playing with my band, and I believe this has a lot to do with the closed back cabinet. When I use my Twin live some times it gets washed-out and lost in the mix and I wish it were louder, but when I use this Evans live it is plenty loud and projects through the mix; however, I play in small nightclubs and bars, not large venues. I assume that the Evans SE200 has more headroom, but I don't know how much louder it is than the 150......I would like to A/B the 150 with a 200.

These are great amps.
Low end (and high end) for days. I run my bass knob (and treble knob) on 2.
I have the 150 and the 200 watt versions. I can hear no difference between them. I like the 150 watt better because it feels like it's about 10lbs lighter. BTW, mine don't have the cool tolex like this one.  |

Hey guys, I've been using this amp more for gigs lately, and there's really nothing to fault it for. It sounds really good and looks great next to my Emmons  .
I've decided to hang on to it.
