I would like again to post my praise and admiration for Mike, his darling wife Joanie, and talented brother Mark for gracing us with their presence at the show this year.
We all know what a great player Mike is but well beyond that is the kind spirit that the family brought to the show. I sincerely hope that they will be asked back year after year.
Thanks, Mike!

I ditto the above. We watched them in the Peavy room before they appeared in the main room. Mike was humbled by all the attention focused on him. We got into the Peavy room an hour ahead of time and it was already filling up. It was standing room only and backed out into the mail lobby.
His playing was flawless and it was a pleasue to sit and watch. Mike, Joanie, Mark, and Mark's wife are a very gracious family and it really shows.
I sure hope that Scotty has them back next year. |

The Johnson Family is one of the nicest and sincere families one will ever meet! Everyone knows how incredible they are are musicians...but as people, they are unbeatable. I wasn't able to attend the convention this year but at our Prattville, AL show this past April, I sat right in front of Mike as he played! WOW...what tone and execution in his playing and Joannie and Mark...awesome!
Did I tell you Mike was one of my best students? HA HA |

You're right on!
Mike's (and family) set is certainly one of my favorite segments of the show this year and last... Mark does a great job on the bass and keeps the audience in stitches with his light-hearted jokes -- primarily about Mike. _________________ HagFan

Sat next to Bill Simmons at Pratville and watched Mike and Joanie Johnson , some of the best people you will ever hear or meet.
Loved Mikes playing, loved Joanie's singing. But what impressed me most was how they treated and looked at one another. Love makes beautiful music.
The whole family are wonderful people. And then being from Alabama, what can I say?
