Is it of much advantage to put a 5th knee lever on a 3 pedal 10 string?
What are the major differences in Peavey Nashville amps and Sessions or the Bandit series. I don't plan to do gigs so would a NV 112 be a good choice for a home amp?

The amplifier question has been moved to the Electronics section of the forum.

Regarding the 5th (vertical) knee lever... Most people find the B string lower (to A#) very useful. At a Jeff Newman seminar, Jeff chastised me in front of the whole class for not having it. He considered it an essential change, even at the beginner level.

I wasn't willing to give up any of the levers I have, so I added that change to a pedal. It would be much more useful on the Left Knee Vertical, I admit. Many people use the split tuning mechanism to get a C note by combining the lever with the 1st or 3rd pedal.

I had the B to Bb lever on my Carter when I bought it (LKV). I found I didn't need it or use it much and put something I would use more there. Have never been sorry I removed it.

I half pedal the A pedal. If changing from the A&B pedals down position and moving to the minor of that chord (say 12th fret A&B pedals A chord to A minor) I just let off the pedals and slide up one fret and lower my E's to D# and you have the same chord. With practice it can be done smoothly. although not as smooth as half pedalling or splitting with the lever, but it gives the same inversion of the chord with a slightly different feeling.
