Can anyone give me the name of one or two places in Honolulu where good authentic Hawaiian steel guitar can be heard? Is Jerry Byrd appearing regularly anywhere?

Loy,
I was there in August '97 and the Halekalani Hotel had real steel players at least 3 or 4 nights a week. Of course over there the night is 6 to 9pm. I saw Jerry Byrd, Alan Akaka and Hiram Olsen on different nights. Call the hotel to be sure but I bet you'll see somebody there.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check the link to HSGA prior to the trip.
