Cindy's break come in around the 1:10 mark or so.

It's in F, so I know it's in some kind of C tuning by when she goes to the open position on the V7, but can't figure out which version. Is it C6 with a G on top?
It sounds great whatever it is!

Pity the accuracy of Cindy's playing isn't matched by the vocalist's version of the lyrics.. !

Quite a bit of compression of the steel, I like it. The tuning sounds like :-
G-E-C-A-G-E-C-Bb
I think she sometimes retunes her 8th string to Bb as opposed to what she gives on her web site,(A).
My reasoning is that because she uses the E13th like this :- E-C#-B-G#-F#-D-G#-E
The low A on the C6 neck would be redundant in this type of tune..
MAYBE ! |

Yes, I think so.. her site lists E13 and a STRAIGHT C6, but methinks that at times the Bb is used, especially considering that she uses the E13th so much.
The link to her web page will only tell you what's NORMALLY used, the EARS may tell you different, as they do somewhat in my case..Also if you watch the video clip I posted you may get the feeling that the 1-7th chord does in fact contain a 7th on the steel.. |
