My New Problem

After 20 years of messing with the steel, my middle finger nail started hanging the string somehow passing the pick...........never ever had even felt a string before. I had to file the nail down and re-crimp the pick but can tell it is still hitting the string...............messed up two nights for me. I have studied the angle of the hand and picks and still dont have a clue....
Any ideas????????

My finger nails are very short but I had the same thing happen to me recently and all I could figure was I had let the picks work their way too far up my fingers.
