Hi all,
This is a newly finished 22 1/2" scale build featuring:
-Flamed maple body, chambered under the fingerboard.
-Thumbnail Maple fingerboard with Walnut fret lines, dots, and binding.
-Handmade wrap-around brass bridge with 3/8" spacing.
-Handmade brass nut with 3/8" spacing
-Black Planet Waves locking tuning machines(they lock for solid tuning and they cut the excess string for you while tuning up!).
-Seymour Duncan JB pickup, in a walnut pickup ring with maple laminate.
-Volume and Tone controls.
-1/4" Switchcraft jack using an Electrosocket Jack mount(from StewMac).
-Creme speed knobs topped with handmade walnut burl caps, and recessed slightly into the body for ideal height.
-Koa 'rg' logo as the 24th fret marker.
-Walnut tuning head forks(for lack of a better term).
-Finished with few satin lacquer topcoats.
This was a relatively spur of the moment build with which to try some specs, use a piece of maple that was too small for my typical body design, and to find a home for the pickup which I mis-ordered for another project. The 22 1/2" scale length and even 3/8" string spacing make it ideal for you slant chord-ers out there. I'm looking for $600, and it is currently posted on ebay for that price, inclusive of continental US shipping and a gig bag...search ebay: rukavina lapsteel. I'm open to PayPal or USPS $ Orders.
I can be emailed at ryan@rukavinaguitars.com. I haven't updated my site in a while, but you can see some of my other work and some testimonials at www.rukavinaguitars.com.
Best,
