Well, as many of you know I had a stroke in April of 2006 and it affected the coordination in my right hand, so I have been hesitant about doing any recording since then. I have just completed and released a new album which is the first one I have done in over 5 years. My family, musician friends and recording engineer all encouraged me to do this, so I did. I also must add that we recorded it using some of my favorite musicians and not band in a box and I guess I am old fashioned, but I still like working with real musicians. I recorded what I feel is a good selection of standard tunes, 5 on E9th and 5 on C6th. The songs are: A Way To Survive, We Could, I'd Rather Be Sorry, Born To Lose, Make The World Go Away, Hang Your Head In Shame, I Love You So Much It Hurts, On A Slow Boat To China, April's Fool and Smile. If you would like to order the CD, the price is $15.00, and I have an excellent RT version for $15.00 too. I also have new tabs for 6 of the songs and the other 4 have already been included in some of my previous courses. I am running a super introductory special of $35.00 for both CDs and the 6 new tabs. This is a saving of $19.00 off individual list prices. The shipping charge for the above is $6.00. I also accept visa, mastercard or discover. I also might add that this new CD was recorded on my new Mullen HWP G2 steel guitar and I think you will be impressed by its' tone.

Herby, I haven't heard a thing off of it as yet, and I still believe I have to have it. As you know, I have most everything you've done and this will keep me up to date.
You are my second favorite steel player.
I love your style and selection of materials.
Take care, see you in St. Looo

Congratulations Herby. So glad to see this comong about and my pride in you and your friendship will always be cherished. Save me a copy. See you soon.
Glad ole Ray H. is taking note of you too. And I feel exactly the same about the musicians.(I just completed a new cd session at Breeden's in Nashville. Gene Breeden had selected some of the very best in Nashville to keep me straight). And I will have a few extra cds of the one you and I did together a few years ago and will drop them off at your booth for you to hopefully sell. Good luck with your new one.
(Herby has some of the very best songs tabbed out. Urge all to visit Herby at his booth and support this most talented steel guitarist).

I just received Herby's new CD in the mail today. It is nothing less than superb. Exactly what you would expect to hear from one of the, IMO greatest steel players there is. Stroke or no stroke, it still has Herby's touch and tone all over it. Glad I got it. The title "Coming Back" tells it all.

I ordered the album and its on its way. I would have bought it just for the song "slow boat to China". Herby is a class act. He has some great stories that I just love to listen to. Hope to see you at the next show Herby.

"Coming Back"
This is a piece of work by a very skilled and courageous man.
After the stroke, Herby worked and recovered so much of his developed talents. He recorded this CD with a mind full of knowledge that he has attained over the years of playing great style and tone. He selected some of my favorite songs, April's Fool(which I chose for my CD), We Could, Smile and others to complete this work.
It will not compete with the speed licks he played in the past, but it still has so much great tone and chord progressions in the arrangements.
My good friend you have accomplished a daring feat in your recovery and this fitting title "Coming Back" is so truly suitable for this newest Great CD.
Thanks for never giving up.
