Charles Tilley just put my song on for the month. I was going to do September Song or September in the Rain, appropiate for this time of year.
But I dug up this old cassette I made 15 or 20 years ago, called "Embraceable You".. It is the Steel Guitar playing the songs of the 40's and 50's, using 2 pedals and 3 knee levrs on E6 tuning. Most of you wont know it from so long ago, but I kinda like the old Pop Standards. Thanks for listening.
I love Bobbe Seymour's new CD of the old Pop Standards, called "As Time Goes By". Take a listen to his CD and hear how they are played by a great Artist and GREAT Steel Player. Thanks...al. _________________ Michigan (MSGC)Christmas Dinner and Jam on my 80th Birthday.

Hi Parr, that is Charles Tilley's post "Send your song file to be heard around the World". Clik on "Steel on the Web" and you will see
Tilley's URL.
There is a lot of very good players on it, doing some fine professional sounding recordings. Mine isn't one of them....al. _________________ Michigan (MSGC)Christmas Dinner and Jam on my 80th Birthday.

I listened to your song Al and in my opinion you are a professional steel guitarist...professional is not just by being a recording artist for famous singers, it is by playing songs with fascinating work like you do with all your songs and I for one love the older pop tunes because they give a person the oportunity to venture into the fabulous world of chords. |
