I am looking to investing in a pro (possibly used) S10-DB vs. the Carter Starter. I have been told the Carter Starter is wobbly and basically you get what you pay for.... Of course the CStarter is $800 vs. $2400 new S10-DB. I haven't even started my lessons as yet, but would like some feedback on anyone regarding Carter Starter vs. a double body relating to performance and also body mechanics while playing. Thank you.

Hi Jan, welcome aboard. Sounds like you have been doing your homework and already getting some sound advise. I have no personal experience with the Starter; you could do a Search here on the Forum and find several discussions on this topic, I think. My opinion would be the SD-10 pro style guitar; you seem serious about this. _________________ Mullen Lacquer SD 10, 3 & 5; Mullen Mica S 10 1/2 pad, 3 & 5; BJS Bars; LTD400, Nashville 112, DD-3, RV-3, Hilton VP . -- Gold Tone PBS sq neck; Wechter Scheerhorn sq neck. -- "Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone." -anon.- |

Howdy Stan, thank you for the reply. I am serious. As my Daddy always says: "Don't throw good money after bad", and.... "If you're going to do something, do it right". I've decided to stay with the single neck S10, but am following up with my teacher on some of the advice I've received. All extremely good! _________________ Jan Elizabeth, Tucson, AZ |
