This evening I noticed how loose these were and wondered if it is by design or not? This is where my A B and C pedal rods connect.

I play a Dekley slimline, and they are loose on mine as well. I do believe this is by design and nothing to worry about.

Yes, they are that way by design (as are most steels in this same area). These screws serve as a pivot, and if they were tight, the bellcranks would bind as you pushed the pedals.
