Hi all,
I'm thinking of selling my '50s Fender Deluxe 8. It's been refinished in the past in some kind of dark brown paint, but the chrome is great and it sounds fabulous.
I can get it refinished in the correct period "blond", but is it worth it or should I sell as-is?

I would try a sale as is and see what happens before going to the expense of refinishing. |

Depending on the quality of the current paint job, it might not be worthwhile to refinish it yourself. Have the buyer do the job if they want it done. I doubt there would be much of a difference in price between your already refinished guitar and a newly refinished guitar, UNLESS the current refinish is ugly enough to affect the resale value.
Show us some pictures of the guitar and we can give you a better idea. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel
