I'll be playing pedal steel & keyboards with "Deep Fried Mojo" at the Beacon Bar and Grill this Thursday from 2-6 pm. The food is real good and we play on the deck outdoors on the beach at Lake Tahoe. The music is different, sorta Greatful Dead covers and others along with original songs by Doug Schwartz, the lead singer.
I play there this Wednesday too, same hours but playing my new pull-string Tele instead of steel with my other band "Cash Only"-Tribute to the man in black. We also play regularly at the Cabo Wabo Tuesday nights by Harrah's casino in Tahoe but I don't list that here because I don't bring the steel to that gig, just the B-bender Tele.
If someone lets me know ahead of time that a steeler was coming to the Tuesday gigs, I'd bring the pedal steel too but otherwise, my B-bender is a whole lot less work for me. Do I sound like I'm getting old?
