I've just tried using my POD XT PRO through my session 500 this weekend on stage for the first time and I was curious what EQ does most everybody use ??
In past I used the POD directly to mixer and in ears so this was my first shot with a new band using the amplifier and actual monitors on floor.
Truthfully I enjoyed the latter mostly, the amp and monitors on floor.

I used the Jazz Clean amp emulation through my session but had to turn the sessions treble and midrange way down to sound good.
The two trebles clashed and made the amp have a loud hiss to it.

From past postings I see alot use the amplifier EQ only and only use the POD for its effects but this seems like alot of money to only use it for that ??

I had no cabinet or speaker assigned to it either so my question is only on getting input from others on the best experience of which EQ to use and any other tricks to try.

Thanks all !!

I am one that only uses it for effects, mainly. If I want to use it with a power amplifier and speakers (or run it to the power amp in on a Peavey amp) then I'll use the amp modeling/EQ/Speaker emulation in the POD XT.

Running both the POD XT amp sim and eq into the preamp in on a combo amp, such as the Session 500 it will clash since you have two preamps and two EQ's.

What did you tell the POD XT you were plugging into?

Lynn - the manual states to pick Live 2X12 or Live 4X12 for What are you connecting to
but I couldn't find that on my POD's menu so I chose "stack front" - I did have to turn down the channel and output knobs down half way on the POD also due to the preamp in the POD.
I did work and worked OK but I need to fine tweek it to what I want more so.
