I've mailed Ron Lashley but got no answer.
Is there a serial#/timeline system on the legrandes?

A friend of mine had a Lashley LeGrande serial # 0071L, it had a short key head, it was bought November 1983, took quite a while to get it. I don't know how fast the numbers turn over, but that might give you some indication.

i've found, when dating a legrande, that they appreciate it when you meet them at the door with flowers and candy!

Hmm... Candy and flowers at the doorstep might be tough due to distance.
I would risk turning up with dead flowers and an empty candy bag Rolling Eyes

I was guessing 80 or 81 too but i'm not certain.

So there's no table like the P/P serials on Carters site for the legrandes then?

Mine has the "spacer" changer

Thanks to all that replied!

All the LeGrandes had deviders in the bridge. They lost those when they went with the longer key head in late 86.The long keyed guitars are know as Lashley LeGrandes.

Hi Ulf,

Maybe this will help! Very Happy

My SKH D10 is serial 077L... Uhh, not much younger than yours.....It was completed in May of 1983......I got this info from the wonderful Mrs. Rebeca Lashley. She was even able to tell me who ordered it and that it went to Abelene, Texas. Fantastic record keeping as far as I'm concened! Cool

You might want to direct your inquiry to:
r_lashley@bellsouth.net...

Put a lower hyphen _ between r & lashley. This is Mrs Lashley's email, she may have slight more time to research than Ron. This is a family business, they are just wonderful to deal with.....Class all the way....TX

Rgds,

Ron

re my earlier post--the guitar was a LeGrande, not a Lashley--sorry 'bout that. I don't know if that will clear anything up.

In fact Keith, i didn't reflect on the "lashley" until you pointed it out. Surprised
However, Mrs Lashley replied and it's a 1983, so today it's two or three years younger then it was yesterday. Shocked

Thanks again folks.
