Hi All,

My first instrument, decades ago, was Steel (lap, console, early peddle). I've been playing standard guitar and banjo for ages (The Steels went to my Father when he lost a couple of fingers on his fretting hand.)

So... I have ZERO up-to-date knowledge regarding Steel.

I am considering Leon's E13th and the Leavitt tuning for a Dbl 8. I think this might 'cover the waterfront' so to speak. Your opinions are highly valued and greatly appreciated.

My tastes in music are VERY eclectic and since 95% of the time I will be playing solo in "Madison Square Bedroom" I won't be required to re-create any specific tones or tunes.

Thanks,

Johnne Lee
