I have been a loyal Zumsteel supporter/player for over 25 years. I will be picking up a new Zum at Scotty’s this fall and consequently I am offering this guitar for sale. I would love to keep this guitar along with my 2 older Zums but financial sanity must prevail.
This guitar has been my main “go to” guitar for recording sessions and steel shows for the 4 years I’ve had it. It is truly a special guitar for several reasons. The guitar ( not a hybrid ) has 8 pedals and 10 knee levers with a very unique arrangement for the 2 RKR levers that allows the player to have a “dedicated” lever for each neck which I feel is critical due to it’s positioning over the volume pedal. The guitar also has the optional patented anti-cabinet drop device Zumsteel has developed that virtually eliminates de-tuning. What is most unique about the guitar (IE. – EXPENSIVE!!) is the front of the guitar. The front panel was designed and manufactured in Atlanta using a special laser-cut alloy steel and chrome plated by a company locally that sub-contracts plating for Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts. In my opinion this is a truly beautiful instrument. And the guitar has Wallace True-Tone single coil pick-ups that make the guitar sounds as good as she looks.
I will be accepting offers on this guitar through private email to tommyd@mindspring.com. (I can also be reached by phone @ 678-574-7071). Since my sole reason for selling is to finance the new Zum, absolutely no trades will be accepted. Serious inquiries are welcomed. Of course I would prefer selling this guitar through the Forum rather than EBAY to help support b0b with his efforts here. The guitar can be delivered at Scotty’s. If shipping is required the actual freight costs (with insurance) will be added. Thank you.

That guitar's got more knees than an orthopedic ward---And Tommy knows what all of 'em do! I've heard this guitar bunches of times, and it's got tone--MAN, has it got tone! And looks showroom new, too.
Bill, I believe I like Tommy better---but I'm not sure ... |

To those of you with a sense of humor, and those who are truly inquiring in earnest, I have accepted an offer on my guitar and am awaiting the funds. At this point the guitar is sold and I'll ask b0b to close this thread down within a day or two. Thank you all for your interest. |

One of my current guitars looks interestingly similar. This is the first Zum of this vintage that I have seen for sale. They are absolutely wonderful in every way.
What color is your new one Tommy?
All the best
