These old RusLer's play and sound great! I still have my S-11 with 5p / 4k that I bought in 1976.
Good luck George, you're going to love it! |

John hit the nail on the head ....The playability of these steels is only superseded by the tone ....These Ruslers have TONE TO THE BONE !!!!..... I hope the seller has the original pickup , but if not , a Wallace Truetone sounds INCREDIBLE in a Rusler ....Ask me how I know ..... Not the easiest steel to set up, but once you have your copedant in place , you would have to look long and hard to find a better sounding pedal steel .....and I've owned over 20 of them in the last 3 yrs or so ...My old Rusler is the one that still sticks in my head !!.... Jack,
I don't know how to post pictures. I'm kind of computer illiterate. But, it looks very similar to yours. The body is black without the pinstriping and all the metal parts are jeweled. 5 pedals and 4 knees with the original 3 tap pickup. It's an outstanding steel with great tone. It's also been a wonderful workhorse. I played 4-5 nights a week with it for 20 yrs and never had a single malfunction. |

That is a beautiful guitar and great tone. I had one built for me by Russ Russell, about 1976. A single 12 wood lacquer, machined scroll metal parts with 10 pedals and 7 knee levers. It had the tone and looks but I thought it was too heavy. Sorry, now, wish I had kept it. Russ worked for ZB before he went on his own. So figure it out. He knew what he was doing. Sorry, he passed away so many years ago. But he left his legacy, the RUS-LER GUITAR...al.
I'll try and post a picture of mine.
