Emmons Ultra Match matchbox

I've just gotten an Emmons Lashley LeGrand Ultra Match LL30. It looks like an older unit. I've never seen one before. It sounds good and has more gain than my Goodrich Matchbox. It has a bypass switch and a knob called EXPAND and a knob called BOOST. It also has an AC power adaptor jack, although I'm running it off of two 9V batteries, like a Goodrich Matchbox. Does anyone know this unit? Any thoughts on it? Anyone know what the EXPAND control does? What type of AC power adaptor to use?
