Wanted to let you know about the release of our new live CD, oddly titled "Blueground Undergrass Live 7-10-99" and recorded, you guessed it, live, at the Variety Playhouse here in Athens, Ga. If you like your music a little twisted you'll probably dig our wacky blend of Bluegrass, Rock, Swing, Funky, Folky, Country and something we call "Zambi".Released by Phoenix Rising Records in N.Y.C. it's available only at our live shows, the Phoenix website, and our own site at: http://www.bluegroundundergrass.com- 73 plus minutes for $10- Our studio release from last year, "Barnyard Gone Wrong" is available from our site and at Amazon, Tower Records, etc. Buy Some! The baby needs new steels...

RED ALERT! RED ALERT!
This recording prominently features a b@nj@!!
Oh Susannah! Oh Susannah! RED ALERT!

But, all seriousness aside, I really did enjoy hearing Witchita Lineman (nice steel!), The Times They Are A Changin', and Wheel Hoss (great bass playing!) And I like the term "Hick Hop" and the name of your band. (Now, why didn't I think of that?)

I've been listening to several of the cuts via MP3.com. What a fun collection of tunes. The mix is nice coming out of my computer speakers. It should be really nice on a real stero.

I really like Farewell to Lemmings.

Great stuff Mark.

Thanks, John! The Mp3 cuts are from "Barnyard Gone Wrong", Recorded live in the studio and mixed here in my 24 track studio. Bob should have copies of these available soon on the Forum catalog. And to John M., if you like the title, you're going to LOVE the cover-(two headed cow)...don't know why we didn't cover "In the Mood"...
