YOU BELONG TO ME

Played on a black Remington Steelmaster D-8 in A6 tuning.
I acquired this guitar a few years ago on eBay while I was waiting for Herb to finish building my cornsilk T-8.
It's the longer 24 1/2" scale, and a great sounding guitar it is - plugged into the 47 Fender Pro.

This arrangement is loosely based on the Herb Remington tab in FUN TAB 2.
It's a beautiful old song, and fairly easy to play.

Here's the backup track

Bobbe, there's something comforting about playing through an amp that's the same age as me.
Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot.

Thanks Steinar - much appreciated! Smile

Chuck, it's been real hot here lately, but it's nice and cool in the studio.
Yeah it's a great old standard.
I always loved the Jo Stafford recording.
I had a windup Victrola when I was a little kid and that was one of the 78s I used to play.

JW, thank you buddy - I reckon 5 thumbs is a pretty good score by possum standards!

Hey Rick.........
Great playing......and I love the tune. I find a lot of 'music' in those older pop tunes..... certainly lacking in much of today's stuff.

Okay, so you've bot a couple of postwar Ricks, eh?

Why not show us all of your walls and all the nooks and crannies in your music studio? I'm sure many of us would be interested.

Ain't that the truth!
If the audience can't walk away humming the tune, what's the point?
You've given them nothing, except maybe a ringing in their ears . .
