I signed up for Scotty's C6 Nonpedal seminar at this year's I.S.G.C. I've never attended a steel seminar before and I really have no idea what to expect. Should I bring an instrument & amp? What exactly goes on in these seminars?

When I get a chance I'll call Scotty and get more details...just curious as to other steeler's thoughts.

Mr Michael,
You are right..the best bet is to talk to Scotty.. At some seminars, they don't want amps, as they may be played too loud , and disturb other students, and the instructor. And some players offer a distraction by "fiddling " with the amp.
My suggestion would be to take a pair of head-phone amps. That way you can hear, but not disturb your neighbor. Also it reduces your carry load....lots easier. But Scotty will tell you what's best...
Lots of luck..
RP...'come on in'...
