I watched the BBC edit of the CMA show yesterday, and I noticed a couple of the acts used non pedal steel players. They all seemed to be playing very large lap steels held up by straps, reso style.
What were they ?(or was it the same player each time?).
I'll make no comments about the music, except to say that if any Nashville writer would like a parcel of chords sent over, I'd be happy to oblige. I presume that they are rationed because of the war, since so many songs seem to go through three or four lines without changing chord significantly.
Cheers
Dave

I didn't see the show so I don't know who was on or what they played. But there is a guy playing for a top group who is using a Gold Tone six string. The Oahu Tonemaster copy. There is a link to him on the Gold Tone website.
