I use a POD XT in a rack sitting aside me and when I touch the rack frame while still touching my guitar / strings I get a low buzz and the buzz varies in volume / freq. on different patches ??

Why ?? Is this normal ??

I thought I'd try here first before writtng Line 6, but then again they never answer me anyway !!!!
I've tried many times asking them to emulate Peavey amps (miss my session) and never got a response.

I would suspect a bad ground somewhere and if you have a single coil pickup that could be part of it. A bad guitar cord, etc.

If you have a Sho-Bud and the pickup ground is not attached to the changer mechanism that is another potential point.

I would like to see some Peavey emulations too, maybe there are Patents that prohibit them from modeling them?
