I have been looking for a cheap flight to St Louis this year and saved about a $100 by using the American Express travel web site. Same flights only cheaper than all the standard web cheapo ticket sites.

Also, if you go to travelocity or expedia, you can see what flights they have then buy the ticket directly from the airline's web site...sometimes you avoid user fees that way.

It won't save you any money, but it could save you some grief if you confirm your flights before going to the airport.

The night before we were to leave on our recent vacation, my wife just happened to check ours and discovered the flight had been cancelled and no on bothered to notify us. We'd booked through Norwegian Cruise Lines on United. We were able to re-route prior to showing up at the airport.
