It's probably obvious, but could anyone explain how to change a volume pot on this instrument? I fail to recognize an access point other than possibly where the pickup is mounted, or through the tone control cover plate...

I had one with a bad volume pot, never figured out how to replace it.... Have you searched the archive? I remember reading something about this back when I had trouble with mine, about two years ago.

I partly dis-assembled mine to look at the rotary switch and consider replacement...but never found a replacement switch. I'm afraid to start messing with anything inside and don't plan to open it again unless it quits working altogether. But here is what I saw...

On my guitar (with one knob on the treble side of the strings and one rotary switch back of the bridge) the fingerboard extension was loose down by the bridge and pickup. It had probably been glued down at one time, and was still glued down towards the fretboard. With this extension lifted up and held open, it looked like you could push the pot downwards and snake it out of the opening, replace, and work it back into place.

Thanks fellas! Fortunately for me, the pot works full open, so I'll just leave it there......
