To be able to play a song from John Hughey tab, I needed to add a knee lever that is the opposite of pedal 6, raising string 6 to F and lowering string 2 to D#. I don't like this on a lever. Having to hold it for long periods of time makes my groin hurt. I have it on LKR. I can't really move it to another lever.
Has anyone ever put this change on a pedal? I'm thinking about pedal 4 as I only have the Franklin E9th pedal hooked to the pedal. Plus I have a guitar coming that does not have extra levers (has only 2 for C6th) and I would still like to have this change. I'm going to throw this change on my Carter's pedal 4 tomorrow and try it out. Do you see any problems with this location for this pedal?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Take one of those little blue pills, thirty minutes before you sit down to play, then you would have a vertical lever, would'nt have to change anything.DYKBC. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. BAMA CHARLIE. GOD BLESS AMERICA. ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST. SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC ! |

When I take the little blue pill, all I do is knock the guitar over.
This is all fun stuff, but I would like to hear from someone about the question. Actually, I think it will work fine. |

Richard, I put that pedal on the floor decades ago (early '70s) and still have it there. I didn't copy the idea from anyone, as I never saw anyone else use it. I put it on simply to do straight guitar licks when the lead man didn't show up. |

I put it on pedal 4 this morning and have found I like it there. I've never liked the LKR on the center C6th set of knee levers. My legs end up too close together and things ( ) get squeezed. Along with the lower back problem and Sciatica, it is downright painful at times. I sometimes have to lean to the right to ease the pressure which throws my picking hand out of position. I'll put my A's to Bb back on LKR. I never seem to have to hold those for long periods (maybe only the top A string change to lighten up the lever action). |
