Pete, you're quick there buddy. How'd you know I was going there in 3 weeks?

Jeff,
The cost depends on weight and bulk and mode of shipment..air is a bit more than surface, but then surface takes forever.

Freight cost to Norway is like to any overseas country.. an arm and a leg Smile
What are you shipping?
If it's a steel guitar...that might be a bit big for me to handle. If it's something smaller that I could fit in a suitcase, then I might be able to help you out.
Like the man said, send me an email via the Forum

Jeff,
Check out BAX GLOBAL. They ship business to business
so if you can ship from a business address they will pick it up. I recently sent a Fender 1000 to South Africa from Eugene Oregon at about a third of the cost that everyone else quoted. You can look them up on the internet and find out if they have location near you. Good luck.

Shipping rates have considerably gone up
a D10 did cost approx 400 $ to send over to Europa
it's now 600 $ !
Bax Global is the cheapestway to go but one must have an account w: them
Bax Global usually has the goods for pick up at the airport
when i can't go Bax Global, i use Fedex or DHL
UPS are the most expensive & they don't come up solid when the goods get hurt or smashed

BAX Global is the way to go. I use them for all my international shipments in my business. I have a friend that used them and he is an individual, not a business, and they accepted his order. I just sent a wood crate that was 39 inches x 28 inches x 12 inches and weighed 135 lbs to Singapore from Tennessee. The total cost was $215.00 and $72.00 of that was a fuel surcharge. FEDEX wanted $900.00.

I ship airport to airport whenever possible, because that is the very cheapest rate. That means that you have to take it to a BAX terminal near you and the person in Norway would have to go to their terminal there and pick it up. This really keeps the cost down, but it is not always possible to do it.

Call me at (423) 342-6233 and I will go over the details concerning the paperwork required for customs.

George

Thanks, George I contacnted BAX and they told me that they do not ship personal item. They only ship from a buiness that manufactors or sells the items. I am sure I could ship throught the music store in town if I need to, I will call you if I need more Information. The sale of the steel is still in the works.

I shipped a GFI S10 to my brother in Norway with UPS, and it cost $ 500 and took almost 2 weeks.
