I was supposed to sit in with a band at a wedding last weekend in Connecticuit but good 'ol boys' at Delta lost my black Mike Aldridge. Traveling threw airports I always see people carring guitars. When I checked in at Pensacola they wouldn't let me carry on my Reso. That set me off like a crazy man. I had no choice but to say goodby to it
at the check in counter. So arriving at JFK
no M.A. gone, history, I'm totally freaked out. So all weekend I'm on the phone with Delta trying to locate my guitar and my other luggage( don't you hate wearing the same clothes for 3 days?)but no luck. Delta farms out their baggage claims department to people in Bombay, That was a real trip trying to understand people on the other side of the world, why can't we just hire people in this country that speak legible
English? (Hey I'm beginning to sound like Andy Rooney maybe I should give up music and apply for Andys job at CBS, he is getting ready to retire you know. So here I am back in Pensacola with out my Guitar and other
belongings, Digital Camera,electric shaver,
I'm sure you get my drift. Today Delta says they have located the guitar and one bag, apparently my reso has been on a mini tour of the states, Pensacola,Atlanta, New York
(JFK),Westchester Airport,Newark, Philly,
Atlanta, and God willing back to Pensacola
today. I'm now concerned about the condition.
I Hope and Pray that the hard shell case did its job, Bad Weekend, but thank you Lord for a safe Trip.

Wow! Sorry about your guitar.

The reason they hire people in India and Ireland to do customer service, is because no one in the U.S. will work for those low wages. It can be frustrating, but it is not the fault of the Indian/Irish workers. They're just trying to make a living, just like everyone else. Actually, I've found that Indians and Irish are very good English speakers. They understand English grammar better than most Americans.

Wow, having just bought an black MA8 yesterday, I got a sinking feeling when I read your email.

Another theory debunked: I've had so much baggage lost or stolen that I assumed doing a gate check would insure it got there. I guess that is not true.

Frank, it was fine when I played it during its brief stopover in Philly on its way to Atlanta...
But seriously, I do hope it arrives safe and sound, even if a little more 'worldly'.
