In Philadelphia this weekend, June 20-22, will be the 5th Annual West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival (click here). I’ll be playing blues pedal steel Sunday, 12:30 PM, with Philly sax legend Byard Lancaster, soul singer Lisa Chavous, and the Philadelphia Blues Messengers (click here, and here, and here), Stage 4, Ogontz Ave. & Tulpehocken. We will have our new CD, Blues for Sale. This is a long weekend of entirely free jazz and R&B by a ton of local and national acts, including The O’Jays, War, Kevin Eubanks, Duane Eubanks, Pieces of a Dream, Benny Colson Quartet, Frank Bey, Sun Ra Arkestra, Mandrill, Khan Jamal, and many, many others. If you are in the area, come on out. |

David,
If, at the end of the weekend you want to take a break from blues and jazz and listen to a little (relatively) modern country, I'll be playing pedal steel with 4 Wheel Drive at Club Lyrics at Harbison and Roosevelt Blvd on Sunday night from 5-9pm.
I met you a few years ago at a NRPS show at Brownies in West Philly.
Regards,
Ted |

I may have family to deal with Sunday evening, Ted. But if I can get free I'd love to hear your show. |
